That CCP post doesn't answer Brian's question...nice try though. Matt, you need to search better LOL!!

The "washers" are a real PITA to get over the rivets, but that is how they are installed. I used a very small socket to help drive them on to the rivet. Take care with the front of the bezel, the "chrome" chops/peels easy.

The most annoying thing is that this repo is far from good quality. Mine sags so much in the center, it actually hits the vent. Given the price, I expected a much better part, maybe even billet. It is, however, better than the really bad 45 year old broken plastic it replaced.

to attach to the stock inner vent with rivets.  The rivets have a conical shaped 
washer that I think are supposed to be pushed over the rivet to lock it in 
lace.  It seems they are too small no amount of effort can make them even start
