A quote from another list talking about spark has stuck with me:

"Weak little sparks like flicking a Bic in a cold, dark hanger are bad.  Big strong sparks that blast the combustion chamber like Thor, god of thunder, are good."

I always keep that in mind when I'm evaluating the ignition :-)
