On a late you have anodized aluminium for the Headlight Bezels, the wheel well trim, the rocker panel trim and the the rear cove trim. Stainless is only used for the windshield and backlight trim and the drip rails (on Monza/Corsa) And the gas filler door trim, if so equipped..
 Some say you can use Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the anodizing and then you are in for a lot of polishing to restore some semblence of a shine, then you need to clear coat the trim or it will turn nasty looking in a hurry.

Most of the trim you're referring to is stainless steel. Richard Widman
(CORSA member who lives in Bolivia) has written an excellent article on how
to restore stainless steel trim on Corvairs. He learned how to do this out
of necessity, restoring a 1960 model he found in Bolivia, where parts are
rare and shipping is expensive.
