My Spyder would at almost exactly 100 miles after adjustment start
clacking again. New nuts and everything. Some old Corvair mechanic
told me to take the nuts off, place them flat on an anvil (NOT
sideways), and smash hard a few times with a sledge hammer. He said
it was the studs that were worn. I did it. No problems
re-installing and adjusting. Went 14,000 miles before I sild the car
-- never clattered again.

Sanden -- call Clark's
