<VV> Pitman arm needle bearing?

Not sure anyone does. I made one myself. Needle bearings do come with
seals, so, I took the center bolt from the rubber bushing and had a
shop grind the OD to the right size, and made a bushing to mount the
needle bearing cups and pressed the whole deal into the end of the
relay rod. Add one grease fitting, and away you go! It wasn't all that
tough, but then again, I had a full machine shop at my disposal...
Worked very well, and got rid of what I felt was the most compliant
piece in the steering train.

Just some food for thought. Personally, the stock setup works rather
well, the only caveat is that *&?^ %$#@ rubber bushing attaching the
relay rod to the Pitman arm. That needs to be a precision needle
bearing sealed setup, IMHO. The rest is plenty stiff enough.

John - Do you know if anyone has ever offered a sealed needle
bearing replacement for this bushing? I have never seen one. Maybe
something out of a idler arm assembly?
