i think early INPUT shaft has smaller splines on tranny end ...but i have  
been away from stick stuff a while.  i think 63 and 64 had same OUTPUT  
shafts though..
i seem to remember someone putting wrong input shaft in a 64 once, seemed  
ok , until power was put to it.
 just do your homework on those swaps..right down to the pivot pin on  the 
face of the differential. throwout bearing height  etc  etc...  (Clarks 
catalog kinda shows what you need to know)
