"Years ago, there was a tech tip about how to have the parking lights on when the headlights are on. It involved moving a wire on the light switch. Anybody remember it or know how?"
 
On a LM you move the purple wire on the heatlight switch connector to the empty hole in the connector.
That ties the purple wire (front parking lights) to the brown wire (rear running lights) via the headlight switch terminals.
 
On an EM tie the purple (64) or violet (next to the red wire 61-63 ) wire to the black wire at the headlight switch. I'm not sure if there is an empty connector hole on an EM. There are two violet wires on 61-63 according to the diagrams I have. The one next to the red wire is for the front lights. The other violet wire is for the dome lights. It should be easy to ID the dome light wire.
