I can't say I knew David E. Davis although his stepdaughter was a student and I was her counselor. He was like any other parent at conferences. I chatted with him at car shows from time to time and he seemed like a nice guy with a very sharp mind. He looked distinguished and carried himself that way. I will miss his editorials.
