Following JR's cue, I found some information regarding the Aston Martin Volante that Katherine and William drove away in; it was a 1969 model car. I am no authority on Aston Martins, but it would have been , I think, one of the earlier V8-engined cars, earlier Vantage cars having a six-cylinder engine.

You may wish to click on the link below for more information, but here is a small extract from it;

"Priceless, this car was actually the 21st birthday gift of Queen Elizabeth to her son, Charles, prince of Wales, and while it has been modified lately, it is still essentially the same convertible that the future king of England accepted more than 40 years ago in 1969.

Charles' DB6 Volante (was far more standard as it) was a two-door convertible, powered by a 243-cubic inch V-8 that cranked out 282 horsepower and 286 pounds feet of torque at 5,500 rpm (meaning it had a very long power curve so that it could certainly get out of the way of any bad guys quickly).

In its standard trim in 1969, Prince Charles' Volante was no slouch. It had a top end of 140 mph and could do 0 to 60 in 7 seconds with a quarter mile exit in 15 seconds, meaning it could do the quarter mile at about 87 mph. It was and still is a serious vehicle."

Not a great deal of Corvair content, I am afraid.
