<VV> Excessive blowby after sitting all winter

Dump kerosene down the cylinder and let it set for a  few days. Just had to 
do that on one cylinder on a 57 Chev worked like a  charm!

pumping oil up the dipstick tube.  My  thought is it got some flash rust on

cylinders; or has some sticky  rings.  Oil level is not too high; orifice

Anybody have any ideas /  recommendations?

Is he running  10w30?   go to 20w50!
