But Clark ... I am sure you remember the trip to the Don Schnider's [sp.?] meet some years ago. Somehow, unbeknown to me, I was to provide the whole swap meet. Do you remember my red 65 2 door and the trailer full of parts? Between the trailer and the parts that was a 3500+ lb. load when we left the Detroit area! Of course that car was far superior because it was a PowerGlide and not equipped with a 4 speed. And I am sure you remember the famous photo of a '64 pulling a cabin cruiser! They could do it then and they can do it now!

The day may well come when I will think it fun to bring both the Corvair and the boat to a show or parade. And the boat ramp is less than a quarter mile from my house. Nothing this side of a 4x4 would have better traction to pull a boat up a slippery ramp. A Corvair could be the perfect car for the job. As far as stopping goes, even an inferior EM could stop the boat because the trailer has it's own brakes :-)

A famous DACC member and Founding Father once told me Corvairs should be used.
