 Yep, if anyone thinks $peed trap$ are about anything other than drive by taxation, they're kidding themselves. For that second to last sentence, the po-po do NOT want compliance. Should the driving public suddenly obey the speed limit, they'd lower it to maintain revenues.

I was watching the news today and the city of Hamtramck, MI, which is inside
the city of Detroit was being branded a speed trap.  The reporter
interviewed the mayor who sheepishly admitted it was true.  It seems the
city is making $1.4 million a month giving out speeding tickets.  The speed
limit even on major highways and freeway service drives is 25MPH.
The mayor said if you don't exceed the speed limit you don't get a ticket!
And we elect these "bozos".
