Precisely :-)  One of the great problems I see around here (Washington, D.C. area) are people who get four wheel drive so they can "go in the snow".  They are shocked to find out you must also be able to steer and stop, and that a 4wd doesn't really do that any better, since cars have 4 wheel brakes and 2 wheel steering.
