Did several test runs of heater set up on tailgate and finally got everything working pretty nicely. 70 deg. day out today so it sure does`nt take long for it to cycle. It took quite a long time for me to figure out what everything does and when it does it but in the end it works like the manual explains it. The purge switch was puzzeling the heck out of me but after some cleaning and fondeling it is performing well. One thing I noticed is if I turn up the thermostat at all it seems to be cycling on the overheat switch on and off to the gas supply solenoid if it runs for very long, like before the thermostat shuts it down. Is this normal? I was hopeing it is and is just the effect of trying to make heat on a warm day when there is not much cooling. It blows hot air for quite a while after the burner shuts down. Anything from past exprience any of you have will sure be appriciated Thanks to all of you out there that have helped me with this. Getting
close to installing it I hope.
