<VV> compression test

Bruce, if compression comes up by adjusting the valve lash looser, it
means you had them adjusted too tight, and you should do an adjust to
them all. All you need is 1/4 to 1/2 turn past zero lash, adjusted warm
and running. Drive the car for awhile after adjusting then recheck
compression. If there is a problem, I have seen worn valve guides to
allow the valve to not seat correctly, especially if the correct
geometry was not set up and you have a rocker pushing a valve to the
side and the guide is worn.

Subject: <VV> compression test
I have re- assembled my 64 110 engine after a "re-seal" Did a
compression check. All but two cylinders looked Ok ( within 10 lb. of
145 lb). #'s 3 & 5 read 0. I backed off the valve adj. on those two
cylinders, re-tested and got 160 & 175 lb.s can anyone tell me just
what this might indicate? such as bad rings, bad valves or what?
