Sat AM. Your e-mail just made me think of something else. I did check the # on the dist. along time ago, before the rebuild. I wonder if someone had changed the distributor shaft and advance in the housing. This is working, it's making me rethink the problem. Thanks, Bob

The Rampy is a manual and also no matter what I tried I couldnt get any performance at all. Just wouldnt wind up and only power in a limited RPM range Did everything to make sure the destributor was advanceing correctly and carbs were good. I could only get 50 to 55 MPH. After searching deeper into the spec page on Matts site I noticed I had a 296 destributor which is for a 63 Super Turbo Air and the advance amounts and ranges were way different than the requirements of the 80HP standard that I have. Short story long what I did was picked up a 294 destributor at the Detroit meet and cleaned it up nice, put it in and it couldnt run nicer and cured all my problems. I thought I needed to rebuild a new engine this winter but this changed my mind. A 164 would be nice but for now I`m happy enough

Cam, cyl, pistons, balanced, and rings. I can get it to 60 MPH down hill as long as I have a good tall wind. 9 to 10 MPG's. MPG's were bad before I went through the engine. It starts and runs so smooth. I know the things that normally cause such problem's. I need some input from simple stupid to off the wall crazy. I love 95HP engines. I got this FC in the early 80's, it came out of the middle East. I want that joy back in this FC. Bob Dunahugh
