I bought a '62 Monza coupe, 4 speed, 3.89 positraction back in '63 and I ran 
a lot of gymkhanas with it.  I mounted a pair of Koni shocks in the rear 
wheel wells.  It stiffened the body roll but didn't affect the ride very 
much.

Go to a CORSA convention autocross and watch the stock earlies, you'll 
definitely see the rear ends jack under hard cornering.  You can kind of see

A thorough discussion of suspension jacking is beyond the scope of an 
e-mail, but as I recall the short version is that all fully independent 
suspensions can have a force that generates an upward force on the car.  The 
specifics of the links and the geometry dictate whether that force will have 
any real affect on the car (if it's 2 pounds you'll never notice).  Lowering 
an early is the simplest way to counteract those forces.  For in depth
