<VV> Fan Belt Tension

Kevin, its a new, well 1300 miles, Clarks wrapped belt. But will look at it
for any bumps where the fabric has seams. The fan pulley, Generator pulley
are both NOS and run true, the idler pulley is not nos but runs true. I've
got a older cogged belt that came on the car when I bought it that I am
going to reinstall and see what happens. I'm thinking the wrapped belt is a
bit stiff or maybe has a bump as described by several people and just won't
stay quiet on its own. The part of the belt that humms is just before it
starts to bend around the fan pulley on the right side, so the input side
to the pulley, not the output part which I would think a out of true pulley
would cause to humm, but the belt portion going to the alternator is steady
as a rock. Mark Durham
