thanks to all the answers I received as it appears the master cyl could be the culprit.  I'll let you know when I check it out(brakes are so important they should be working perfectly)Ken

Brake pedal goes almost to floor before acting like it will do any braking(car not on road yet),  have all new brake cylinders, brake lines, have bled brakes 3-4 times but pedal still goes almost to floor.  Adjusted until slight drag on drum and brake shoes not all that worn.  Any suggestions will be helpful.  Thanks, Ken Clark
