<VV> Futura (Corvair)

The "Futura" is indeed a Corvair based vehicle.  It appeared once at the all 
GM car show in Minneapolis, MN sometime in the early 90s(?)  He parked with 
the Corvairs and spoke to us a bit about the vehicle.  He was an older 
gentleman who lived in either Minnesota or Wisconsin.  He did indeed build 
it himself (as I remember).  He was a bit eccentric and not terrifically 
outgoing.  The car was nicely done.  I do believe it started life as a sedan 
because if you look carefully at the tops of the side windows their seems to 
be some oddly shaped curves.  Somewhere I may have photos of this.  I 
suspect that the builder has passed on and perhaps his heirs sold the 
vehicle.   Would be great to see it again!

BTW, I too questioned the use of "Futura" since it was a nameplate used on 
Ford Falcons at the time this was probably built.   I assume the badging he 
used was even from a Falcon "Futura".
