It is very common that rebuilders put regular fans on their units as Corvairs aren't very common. The blades are supposed to push air away from the fan end so it sucks air in the back end. Remember centrifugal force tries to throw the air outward from a spinning object. If your fan is trying to scoop air in it is fighting the system!. Clark Hartzel
