<VV> 140 engine on a regular PG transmission

Isn't the linkage from the transmission to the cross shaft different on a 140 than on a 110?
Which linkage did you use?

Even if they are not different, it may be in that linkage adjustment not allowing the carbs to idle down.

I put a 140 in a 61 with an automatic once.
The original low horse motor had more guts than the 140.
