Me Too!  I WANT some of that side slide during that short curvy course. 
Well - a little lower pressures when on ice.  GGG

On pavement, I usually start out around 40 and release a little (if the butt 
tells me so) between runs.  This is when you want to have an accurate gauge 
and maybe a temp reader as well.  But, the course is usually short and the 
time between runs longer - so the temp reader is only a very general guide. 
Just feeling the tires is probably really enough.
