Smitty Says;   Dale I have no problem at all with you adding the many "sub" 
differences in the transmissions.  After all if somebody who needs the 
information files this away,. as I will for future reference, the effort is 
not wasted.  My intention was to break them down just as far as necessary to 
let someone know what will work and what won't work as a plug-in without 
changing surrounding hardware.  Such as, there are three kinds of 4 speeds. 
61-63,  64-65, and 66 and up.  I think going farther with this on this forum 
would be out of place and should be taken up by an interested party willing 
to do the research and identify the number of teeth on the gears you mention 
and the changes from year to year in thrust bearings etc.  That would be a 
truely complete breakdown for someone looking for a specific purpose 
transmission.  The Communique would welcome such an article.
