 What kind of tweaking are we talking about?

==========================================================

"Mods" require changing parts... "Tweaks" are adjustments / changes

 Stock distributor is set at 24 BTDC... and gets no advance until 3600 rpm or higher..

1 Set the base timing to 30 btdc.... let the Pressure retard set the timing back under boost....

You need 28-29 btdc to have boost and keep it... This is why the Dale Adv. - Ret. unit is popular...
but it fails to keep the timing at 28-9 during boost.

2 Wrap the exhaust..... Summit sells it cheaply...takes 1 hr. to install... keeps the HEAT in the pipe!

3 Remove the stock muffler and punch a hole thru it... it will still be quiet enough.. Turbo acts as a muffler...

Many "stockers" Tweaked like this perform quite nicely! Boost in 1st gear after only driving the car for 5 minutes... not 10 miles on the highway!
