Especially screwdrivers you don't like very much! <grin>
 
A true test of the starter system would be to install a  starter&solenoid 
that is working perfectly in another car. New parts  .  . .  could still be 
bad parts

Not a bad idea, kind of a "better idea" <grin>. Also, if you add one  of 
Clarks' reduction gear lightweight starters, your car can be like both a Ford  
and a Chrysler.
