It worked1  Took about 3/4 of inch instead of the inch you mentioned but it worked.  Thanks.

Shift into 4th.  Loosen the clamp on the coupler.  Make sure the guide 
roll pin in in the coupler.  Pull back on the shifter lever until it 
hits the stop.  Slowly move the shifter forward one inch.  Tighten the 
clamp on the coupler.  If the roll pin is not in the coupler, drive a 
new one in before attempting.  The guide pin locates the gate in proper 
alignment to allow reverse to be selected.
