<VV> Air flow around engine 62 ramp side

Most of the canvas (?) shroud between the engine and chassis has rotten way. 
Could this lead to my over-heating problem?  also big flat steel stamping 6" x
18" (sort of) inside near wheel well be part of the problem?

 Absolutely!  there can be no open  area to allow hot air to recirculate...


 You also need to make sure the inlet vents / ducting is clear...
