Not exactly true.  The main dash connector is identical, the Monza has empty slots that are used for the tach and head temp.  The turbo overheat buzzer had a separate connector, I think, and of course the vacuum line is separate.  If you take a look at the wiring diagram you can see the details (get a CD of Ned Madsen's color ones for better clarity).
