Mark,
Mine are a step above housewrap with a soft side against the paint. Thin
and light (and white) they don't let moisture accumulate. I use Super Snap
(or Byers' Super Snap) plastic tarp grommets (no holes in the cover) to
tie down the front and back end and the supplied central grommets in the
center to hold the covers on. I've found the Super Snap plastic grommets at RV
sales places and, occasionally at Home Depot and Lowes.

Tyvek, huh. Hadn't considered that. Works great on houses, glad it
worked. Yes, mine is one of the thicker more deluxe ones, and we had a wet winter
that year. It was virtually dripping inside. Mark Durham

Right. There are covers that are more "breathable" than others. I've
tried a series over the decades and all but the Tyvek ones trapped a lot of
moisture--especially the heavier "deluxe" ones. I've been getting three or
four years out of my latest Tyvek ones from Empire. I probably have the
cost of the concrete slab for my (someday) garage in what I've spent on car
covers over the years.

harry, be careful, I put my 62 coupe up on blocks and covered it with a
breathable car cover and it still collected moisture, showed up on
metal parts in the car. Mark Durham
