Several years ago, I made engine compartment measurements (I lived in
Dallas then) and found the temperature to be consistently 20 degrees above
ambient, whether I had just driven a cold engine a few blocks or I had driven
over an hour in city traffic or had driven a few hours cross-country.

Has anyone replaced "believe" with actual measurements? Baring any real
data, I plan to make some measurements when I get my restomod on the road.
I'm interested in how engine bay temperatures impact the cold (reference)
junction temperatures for my CHT gauges.
