 Yep, but given that you're only protecting the main feed to the front of the car (everything else, almost, has a fuse) that's the wire you want to protect. I'd rather have no fuse and put that wire in a piece of rubber hose or other sort of shield. 

After all, the factory setup doesn't have a fuse on the main feed!
