 Yer welcome! If the ones you're using are something like the diameter of a pencil, they're either 4 amp or 6 amp. They'll probably work. Just keep in mind about how silicon diodes fail shorted...

John:  The diodes I'm using are epoxy and they are pretty thick.  They are rated for 400V but I'm not sure of the ampere rating.


There were smaller diodes at Radio Shack, but I had a feeling they wouldn't handle the power draw of the car's bulbs.


Thanks for your input.  If I have a problem with them, I can always replace them with the ones you specify.
