Aluminum? Then it's even MORE valuable as scrap!

Well, it is THE only Corvair manual tranny with an aluminum case...

Ha! Why not just junk it? Scrap metal prices are up and it might be worth 50 
bucks. That's what I did with the 3-speed that was in my '64 convert because it 
had the WORST ratios, and 1st was non-synchronized, so I could never downshift 
into it while rolling (and I can drive multispeed trannies in heavy trucks). 

I guess that was a rant -- sorry. But out of curiosity, who'd want a 3-speed 
except to say a certain car is "stock"?

I have a 60 trans and differential here in Memphis NY For sale $50 or  
offer? FOB .
I can not find the ID on it , no pad in the usual spot. without taking the  
greasy cover off , I bet on 3:55 because a 3:89 would not last long in the 
L.A.  area?
ANY interest?
It was working just fine in a stock 60 coupe from Calif that has been  
converted to a 140hp powerslide.
