My last project was an Olds Cutlass. Corvair sure is a different animal.

Better look closer! 60's GM is 60's GM!! 90% of an LM are "off the shelf" parts

Rear suspension is Corvette.. Brakes are Chevelle Steering Columns fit Vettes.

Many have used 67 Camaro windshields... which is the most similar car when you put them side by side

Dist. is inline 6 unit.... manual trans is just a big car Saginaw with special parts inside..when we put v8's in them we just swap those parts back.

Lifters are SBC..but be careful of rockers and pushrods... looks similar... but are slightly different.

Alt. is normal Delco.. with different front case... oil pump gears are common.

Don't let the 2 carbs throw you... very simple units to service and "balancing / synching" is easy / 5 min. once you know how and understand what you are doing!

You have to admit.. the engine bay sure is simple!
