Dang, missed Clark,, would have been great to say hello, live within a few
miles of Rt 66 as it passes through central Illinois. Suppose I was at
work. I drive a Corvair to work most days -- except when running errand in
90 plus heat. Car is parked in a garage so even on hot days, it is "comfy"
for the trip home from work.

Am willing to drive that Corvair, or one of several others in the Garage 100
plus miles one way. Brakes and Engines have been verified to be good, so
away I go.

Oh -- along that route in Illinois would have been dozens of Corvairs --
most likely all tucked safely in a garage if it was a weekday. They show up
regularly at the PCCA meetings 10-12 each meeting during the summer driving
season -- over half of the attendees. many driving an hour or more to the
meeting location (only 25 minutes for me). Not many on the roads regularly,
I do see a 70s era electric car on occasion -- being driven to that person's
place of work, i presume as there are days i see it morning and evening,
headed in opposite directions. Odd looking thing, distinctly 70s.
