If the screw is stripped get a good used mount.  If the ball swivel is  
loose then clean it with a cleaner that does not--repeat not-- contain 
petroleum  distillates--no WD40, dry it and see if it stays up.  I've had both  
problems and been able to fix it without buying new mirrors or mirror  parts.  
On my Greenbrier I replaced the forehead spear mirror mount with a  glue on 
later style mount and larger than stock mirror from an '80s era GM  car.
