After struggling for two days finally got the new diff and 4 speed intot my 65 Corsa convertible.  I dropped the entire drive drainto do the swap.  Only disconnected the two wire connector that goes to the starter an, the coil wires and the idiot lights.  I never touched the big multi-wire wire connector  in the engine compartment.  This moring, I wanted to try out the car to be sure th eshift linkage was OK.  On the first two tries to start the engine, I had dash lights and the under dash light but absolutely nothing from the starter.  I checked the battery which appears good but to be sure I decided to use the portable battery pack.  Still nothing from the starter but now I have absolutely no lights, or any electical power.  Wiht the test light I do have power at the starter.  I can jump the power terminalon the starter with the "S" terminal and the starter turns the engine over. When I junp from the poerterminal to the "R" terminal, I do have dash poer, light s and the radio.
I am at a loss to fix this.  The two wire connector going to the stater I beleive is good.  Any suggestions?
