It wouldn't be the first time. I've seen adjustments so bad that the triangular plate and rubber pad on the floor up behind the bottom of the rear seat flexed the floor sheet metal like the bottom of an old oil can whenever the clutch was used. Bob It turned out that someone had misadjusted the clutch which was putting an extra strain on the cable.
