<VV> Coil spring spacers for a EM?

Those are a factory item.  How do I know?  Because I had an NOS package 
of them some years ago, complete with GM Group Number and Part Number.

But, as for their application, I no longer remember.  I think -- think 
-- that they were related to the fitment of air conditioning in the earlies.
