A reliable top number is 1500F. And that's about as high as it'll EVER get, regardless of mods! IF it were me, I wouldn't coat any area near the turbine impeller.

Subject: <VV> Turbo Temps?

Wondering what to tell a company that is ceramic coating some Corvair
turbocharger housings about the maximum temperature it will attain and whether
there should be concern about the thickness of the coating in the area where the
turbine will be spinning? Thanks for any insight.
Grant
