Is it possible to get any that last more than 6 months without buying a new car? The ones that come on a new car seem to last 6-7 years but I haven't been able to find any replacements that last longer than 6 months before they get hard and quit working. They must be made out of the same junk new tires are. I've also got some 20 year old tires on my G10 that are still fine but have had 6 year old tires rot enough to burst parked in the same yard. (not exact ages but not too far off)

Today's tires do degrade rather quickly. Used to be, and not th at long ago, th at good quality tires lasted longer and failed due to road hazards, mileage, punctures, etc, not age...    Same with windsh ield washer blades..These are cheap material and do not last. Certainly do not last like (real) rubber blades did.
