Hi Richard,
The letters are stamped along with the date code on the drivers side of the case at the bottom on a casting boss. But if you want to know for sure, take the cover off and count the number of teeth on the ring and pinion gears and do some simple math. Gears are known to be swapped so just because the letters say you have 1 thing may not be the case.
