<VV> Registering for convention events

As someone who has run registrations at two national and one regional CORSA
convention, I'd recommend registering as soon as the host club is ready to
start accepting them.

First, you'll be sure of getting into all the events -- particularly tours
-- that may have limited numbers of slots available.

Second, it tells the host club how popular the various events are going to
be. For instance, they may have to move something to a larger venue, plan
more or fewer dinners & awards, or get a second (or third...) bus. Or they
may learn that some event such as a tour generates little interest.

Third, it helps spread out the work load. There's nothing like getting a
hundred registrations the last week before advance registration closes to
put pressure on the people volunteering to do all work.

Finally, it saves you a few dollars. The reason for providing a discount
for advance registration is to get people to register early!

So register just as soon as you're reasonably sure you are going to the
convention.
