<VV> Cheap, poor handling cars are more exciting?

= I like what Seth quoted: Understeer is when the driver is scared -
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared! Charlie -

I used to really annoy some of my passengers, when I'd slide the back of
my early Beetle around in corners.
Only lost it once on dry pavement - and once on snow.

My "Corvair" was awful the last time I took it on an autocross, but the
rear tires were really old and hard.
The back end slid around like a drunken something...
When it still had the V-8 in it, I did get it 90 degrees to the road.
Maybe I should have been paying better attention.
Those tires were probably pretty crappy, too.

Now, with fresher tires, it is better. Note that it has an iron 3.8 back
there, not an real 'vair motor.
Need to make some changes, get wider wheels and tires.
- right now, the struts keep me from going in farther and the tires
already hang out the wheel wells.

cheers
Jay
