<VV> The Flipping Fanbelt...any clues in this picture?

 Might the belt be too narrow?

My vast experience with Sandcar engines / aka "dune buggies"  is that  the belt always flips  between the Alt. and the Crank pulleys...


Normally changing  either of those pulleys will solve the problems after "SEVERAL"  different parts have been tried...


On 2-3  over the years I had to make a  retainer guide that fit between the Alt. and Crank...  these were "field fixes"... that worked...


 All this was with tension set so that the belts could be changed by hand on a cold engine.  3/8" x 56"  belts... wrapped and  unwrapped.
