The answer is - - - It depends. All 1960's had draft tubes. That is
correct. 1961 and 1962 Corvairs delivered in California has a Positive Crankcase
Ventilation (PCV) system installed, using a valve, recycling much of the
unburned fumes in the crankcase. (Not sure how positive it was, but it did
vent into the engine inlet system.) 1961-1962 Corvairs delivered outside of
California still used a draft tube. All 1963 cars used the PCV valve,
1964-1969 cars, except air conditioned cars, used an orifice system and still,
pretty much had crankcase recycling. 1964-65 Air Conditioned Corvairs still
used the 1963 valve system - as well as the twin air filters.

Was the 1960 the only one with a draft tube?
What did the '61 use?
What did the '62 use?
A friend of mine has a '62 with a '62 102 engine , but it has a draft
tube? This does not make sense to me. Also the intake duct to the two air
cleaners has clip on the top on the passenger side, like to hold a PVC valve
and accompanying hose.
