<VV> bell housing question

I have been notified that I must use a 64-69 bell housing for my '64 110" conversion.    The car is a standard shift with a 64/65 4spd tranny.   I was given a standard bell housing  with my parts engine, because the original one, (a PG one) got broken.    I found this casting number on it:  M6256583. 

   So, the question is, which one is this: early or late?    and  how do you tell the difference between them?   Thanks for your help.
