Hi folks,

A few people suggested using modern trim tape in place of the factory fasteners. I'm looking at the bits I have to put back on the wagon, and I was wondering about a couple details. First, on the belt line trim. There isn't much surface to stick tape to - in cross section the back side isn't flat, it has a curved edge that retained the clips. Has anyone actually used double sided tape to hold the trim on? As for the various badges, unlike modern badges that have a solid surface, most Corvair badges are cut out around the letters so there are all these little holes. Since it would expose the sticky surface, I'm thinking it will collect dirt and crud. If you've done this, did you cut the tape out? Any other tips?
