<VV> door stops on a van

Hello All, I have a question, did some of the vans have
a door "stop" on the hinges and not the rubber bumper
stop on the Qt. panels because mine has no holes on
the Qt. panels for the rubber stops and the hinges have
what looks like a welded on piece to stop it from opening
all the way to the Qts. Anyone know of this and thanks
for any help. Jimmy
 
PS  Im not talking about what I call a door check, its 
on the door hinges.
